Our Biggest Fleet Investment Yet
Fairway Logistics is proud to announce our largest single fleet expansion to date: 15 brand-new, late-model trucks added to our Gulf Coast operations. This investment represents our commitment to providing shippers with reliable, high-quality capacity backed by equipment we own and maintain ourselves.
The new trucks — a mix of Freightliner Cascadia and Kenworth T680 models — are equipped with the latest safety technology, fuel-efficient powertrains, and advanced telematics systems. They join our existing fleet of over 50 power units, bringing our total to 65+ trucks serving the Gulf Coast corridor.
This expansion has been driven directly by customer demand. Over the past year, we have seen a 30% increase in freight volume from both new and existing customers, and our commitment is to always have the capacity our customers need — without relying on brokered trucks that can disappear when the market tightens.
Why Fleet Expansion Matters for Shippers
In an industry where capacity can evaporate overnight, our fleet expansion provides tangible benefits to every shipper who partners with Fairway:
- Guaranteed capacity: When you work with an asset-based carrier, your loads are covered by trucks we own and drivers we employ. No scrambling for capacity during peak seasons or market disruptions.
- Consistent service quality: Our drivers are Fairway employees who are trained to our standards, know our customers' facilities, and understand the importance of on-time performance. You get the same high-quality service every time.
- Better communication: Because we control the truck, the driver, and the dispatch, there is no chain of intermediaries between you and your freight. You get direct, real-time updates from the people actually moving your cargo.
- Cost stability: Asset-based capacity is priced more consistently than brokered capacity. Our customers benefit from predictable rates that do not swing wildly with spot market fluctuations.
Technology and Safety Upgrades
Every new truck in our fleet comes equipped with cutting-edge technology designed to improve safety, efficiency, and visibility:
Advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS): Including forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, and lane departure alerts. These systems help our drivers avoid accidents and protect your freight.
ELD-integrated telematics: Real-time GPS tracking, engine diagnostics, and hours-of-service monitoring ensure compliance and give our dispatch team complete visibility into fleet operations.
Fuel-efficient powertrains: The new Cummins X15 and PACCAR MX-13 engines in our trucks deliver best-in-class fuel economy, reducing our environmental footprint and keeping operating costs competitive.
Dash cameras: Forward and driver-facing cameras provide an additional layer of safety accountability and can help resolve claims quickly if incidents occur.
These technology investments are part of our broader commitment to running a modern, professional fleet that our customers can be proud to have representing their supply chain.
Expanded Lane Coverage and Service Areas
The fleet expansion allows us to deepen coverage in our core lanes while adding new service areas that our customers have been requesting:
Enhanced Gulf Coast drayage: Additional dedicated drayage trucks serving the ports of Houston, Mobile, New Orleans, and Gulfport. Faster pickup times and more flexible scheduling for container moves.
Regional OTR capacity: More trucks available for FTL and LTL movements throughout the Southeast, including Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas, Georgia, and Florida.
Cross-border capabilities: Select new equipment is configured for cross-border operations, supporting customers who need freight moved between the U.S. and Mexico through Laredo and other key border crossings.
Whether you need a single container dragged from the Port of Mobile or a full truckload moved from Houston to Atlanta, our expanded fleet means we can say "yes" to your freight more often — and deliver it with the reliability Fairway is known for.
What's Next for Fairway
This fleet expansion is just one part of our 2026 growth plan. In the coming months, we will also be investing in warehouse capacity, technology infrastructure, and team expansion to ensure we can continue serving Gulf Coast shippers at the highest level.
We are also exploring the addition of specialized equipment, including flatbed and step-deck trailers, to serve customers with oversized or non-containerized freight needs. Stay tuned for more announcements as these plans materialize.
If you are a shipper looking for reliable, asset-based capacity in the Gulf Coast region, now is the perfect time to partner with Fairway. Our expanded fleet means more availability, better scheduling flexibility, and the peace of mind that comes from working with a carrier who owns and controls every aspect of your freight movement.
